Our Vision
Our Vision for West Glasgow New Church reflects the values placed on the church fellowship by the members and is set out under five key areas
Leadership
The purpose of leadership is to enable and facilitate members of the church to participate in all aspects of church life; to empower and encourage individuals to seek out opportunities to express their gifts, develop their roles and grow in their own walk with God. We strongly believe in team work and partnership in building God's church and spreading the Gospel
Evangelism
As a Church we engage the world in a culturally relevant way with the good news of God's love and sacrifice. We hope to see West Glasgow New Church growing by drawing in those who do not yet know the good news of Jesus Christ. Through individual members, families and special groups we seek to explain the love of God for all men to work colleagues, neighbours and society at large.
Discipleship
For each Christian, his or her relationship with Christ is the key to effective witness for Christ, and the basis for Christian maturity. The Church seeks to provide an environment where individual Christians can grow up in their personal walk with Christ - through small groups, Bible study, prayer triplets, key friendships and challenging teaching.
Worship
Worship is the greatest privilege and joy in God's family. In West Glasgow New Church we seek to offer worship to God which is reverent and worthy of Him. We want to see teaching that is Biblical; both challenging and encouraging. Worship together as a church involves all groups and ages and helps Christians to know and love God better
Pastoral Care
Caring for each member of the Church is the responsibility of everyone involved in West Glasgow New Church. By regular personal contact and in developed relationships, the members should look after the interests of each other. Those with particular need require to be cared for in a gentle and committed way. As in a family, special care is provided for the young, weak and needy.
