What We Believe

As Christians, we believe that God took the initiative to create all that exists to reveal Himself to us as His people and, above all, to restore our relationship with Him through Jesus Christ.

  • We believe that His son, Jesus Christ, died for us on the cross and rose from the dead as historical fact, not fiction
  • We believe that God can be known and that relationship with Him begins with acknowledging our rebellion and submitting ourselves to Him.
  • We believe that God gives His Holy Spirit to all who believe in Him, to live in and through them, in transformed lives.
  • We believe that the Bible, through which we come to hear of God's forgiveness and love, is a reliable and trustworthy guide for our ongoing relationship with God.
  • We believe that all humankind is ultimately accountable to God for the way we live our lives. For this reason, we see sharing this news of forgiveness through Christ, of paramount importance.
  • We believe that our broken relationship with God can only be repaired through Jesus Christ and that participating in membership of God's family is our responsibility to bring worship to God, but also to encourage each other and strengthen our faith as individuals and as a community
